Den Braven FX Tile Adhesive Quartz 7 kg grey RL

FX Den Braven Quartz tile adhesive is a low-slip cementitious adhesive. It is water- and frost-resistant and thus suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Quartz adhesive has high adhesion and tensile and compressive strength. Thanks to its extended break-in time, it is suitable for more demanding conditions. Suitable for bonding ceramic tiles and tiles made of natural and artificial stone, plates of non-constant thickness e.g. lotto, fine-grained stoneware and large-format slabs.Thanks to FX Den Braven Quartz, tiles can be bonded to plaster, concrete, aerated concrete or unplastered masonry. The adhesive is suitable for use when laying tiles for underfloor heating, for liquid waterproofing coatings or when bonding thermal insulation materials made of polystyrene or mineral wool boards to facade masonry.

Use:
First, clean and prime the substrate. Thoroughly mix the mass with drinking water in the given proportion. When bonding tiles, apply a thin layer of adhesive to the entire surface of the substrate with the smooth side of the trowel and then brush through it with the serrated side of the trowel. Place tiles or paving stones in the prepared bed while pressing them down. The maximum bed thickness is 5 mm. Caution, do not pre-wet the tiles or substrate. The time for which tiles can be laid (open time) is approximately 30 minutes. When bonding outdoor tiles (frost-resistant, sintered or otherwise marked), apply a thin layer of adhesive to the tile with the smooth side of a trowel. Then apply the thicker layer of adhesive to the substrate with the smooth side of the trowel and then brush it through the tooth side of the trowel with a tooth size of min. 6 × 6 mm.
Warning:
The adhesive is not suitable for bonding in low temperatures below +5 °C and in direct sunlight. It must be protected from rapid drying. Not suitable for metal, plastic, wood and wood-based substrates. Not suitable for direct bonding of tiles to electrically heated mats. It is permissible to use only on heated floors with a gradual temperature rise, e.g. tubular floor heating. Cementitious adhesive should not come into direct contact with the anhydrite screed, it is always necessary, if using cementitious adhesives separating bridge.
