Sphagnum moss, also known as peat moss, is native to Chile. This fibrous moss is characterised by its extraordinary absorbency. It can hold up to 20 times its weight. These properties make it ideal for growing orchids, carnivorous plants, creating pictures from living plants, kokedams, terrariums and for rooting cuttings or germinating seeds. Sphagnum contains valuable minerals and trace elements and also boasts antibacterial and antibiotic properties. In addition, it does not smell, which makes it the perfect substrate for healthy plant growth.

Use:
The peat is delivered compressed, after unpacking it, soak it in water for about ten minutes to activate its unique properties. Once it is sufficiently soaked in water, you can use it at will.
