KEW 4202 Clamp-on Ground Meter

KEW 4202 Clamp-on Ground Meter
KEW 4202 is a clamp-on grounding meter 0 - 20 / 200 / 1 200 ohm.
Key Features of the KEW 4202 Clamp-on Ground Meter
- Bluetooth connection - data transfer to computer/smartphone
- Gets GPS coordinates from smartphone, reports data to device and computer
- In order to meet the condition of measuring the earth resistance against a "system" with a small resistance, the earth measurement can be reduced to "two-pole", this reduction simplifies the situation considerably, but still requires disconnecting the resulting loop to insert the measuring voltage source and this problem is solved by using the KEW 4200 clamp meter
- Self-cleaning plier faces
- Measures the earthing system in operation without disconnecting the system, by simply tapping on the earth electrode it ensures practical and quick measurement of earthing values
- Automatic range selection
- Direct recording of ground resistance
- Measures current (and leakage current) from 1 mA to 30.0 A (3 ranges)
- Prevention of incorrect readings with the warning function of under-open clamps or current flow greater than 3 A
- Memory for 99 measured values
- HOLD function
- Large clear double display with blue backlight
- Battery status indicator
- Automatic device shutdown to save batteries
- Conforms to EN 61010-1 CAT IV 300 V/CAT III 600 V
- Pollution degree 2, EN 61010-2-032
The principle of the clamp meter
The principle of the clamp-on earthing meter is the use of two mutually independent induction coils - transmitting and receiving. The first, the sending coil, induces current flow through the ground loop, which is threaded "short". The flow of this current then induces a voltage in the second, receiving coil. From R=u/i x k ("k" is the instrument's clamp manufacturing constant), the instrument calculates the resistance sought. By placing the two coils in common clamps and magnetically isolating them, Kyoritsu has succeeded in creating a unique instrument that measures without disconnecting the earth system. Since both coils of the device must work without the slightest mutual interference, the production of this device is technologically very difficult. And it is Kyoritsu that has mastered this technology and presents its product to you.
