Remmers Premium Floor Varnish 5 l Silk Matte

Remmers Premium floor varnish is a water-based polyurethane varnish designed for treating interior wooden surfaces. Its formula, based on an acrylate and polyurethane dispersion, gives the coating high resistance to mechanical wear. You can use the varnish on wooden floors, stairs, furniture, or cork floors. It creates a transparent film with a silky matt finish, protecting the surface from scratches and scuffs.

Durable formula for high-traffic surfaces

The base of the varnish is a water-based dispersion of acrylate and polyurethane. The polyurethane component is responsible for its mechanical properties. The coating has high resistance to scuffs and scratches, which makes it ideal for use in high-traffic areas such as floors and stairs. The varnish also meets the DIN 68861, 1C standard, which defines its resistance to selected chemicals. A surface treated with Remmers Premium varnish is also resistant to common hand creams.

Application and coverage of Remmers varnish

Apply the varnish to a prepared and clean surface with a brush or roller. For optimal results, the manufacturer recommends applying a total of three coats. The theoretical coverage of the varnish is approximately 10m²/L per coat, which corresponds to a consumption of around 100ml/m². A sufficient drying time must be allowed between individual coats. The surface can be recoated and is dry after approximately 4 hours from application under standard conditions.

Versatile interior use

The floor varnish is designed for floors and stairs, but its use is broader. You can also use it to treat furniture, interior doors or wooden panelling. Its properties also make it suitable for cork surfaces. After drying, the varnish creates a transparent film that allows the natural grain of the wood to stand out. The final appearance of the surface is silky matt, without any unwanted high gloss.

The recommended temperature for application and drying of the varnish is between 15°C and 30°C.
