Sophisticated design and voice control
The programmable thermostat with humidity sensor is part of the Homematic IP smart home system, enabling time-controlled temperature regulation and control of several thermostatic radiator heads (HmIP-eTRV) from the Homematic IP series in one room. The Homematic IP smart home system, of which the wall thermostats are part, supports voice control and communication with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. For safe, stable and reliable communication, the system has its own unique radio technology between the devices.
Compact size
With its compact dimensions, the Wall Thermostat (HmIP-WTH-A) is comparable in size to a light switch. The device can be intuitively operated via a rotary ring that also acts as a button. The temperature can be precisely set in 0.5 °C increments, which is then automatically transmitted to the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP).
System operation
The wireless connection of the Wall Thermostat (HmIP-WTH-A) to the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP) offers convenient setup and control of the comprehensive Homematic IP smart home system using an intuitive app (for Android and iOS in CZ) designed for smartphones. The mobile app enables instant response to messages and alerts from your smart home system and connects all Homematic IP devices via a free, unlimited cloud, which allows you to set up and control the system from anywhere in the world, transmission of important information, update the software and firmware of your device, passes configuration and operational commands from the Homematic IP application to individual smart home devices.
Intelligent control
The thermostat offers up to three adjustable heating profiles: the temperature can be controlled in time intervals (up to 6 heating phases per day with individually adjustable temperature). Other heating, cooling or air-conditioning equipment can also be controlled via Homematic IP switching actuators.The wall thermostat can control both heating and cooling control operation. Thanks to the integrated sensor, it allows, among other things, to evaluate the humidity level in the room and thus effectively control the air conditioning or ventilation. Possible applications of the thermostat include direct control of the heat source or use as a room sensor for measuring and adjusting temperature within a multi-zone control system.
BOOST function for fast room heating
The BOOST function can be used if the room temperature needs to be raised quickly. A short press of the ring control button will activate Boost mode. All selected thermostatic heads will be open to 80% for 300 seconds, heating the room faster. The wall thermostat display will show a countdown while the Boost mode is active until the mode is exited.
Unique solution
Homematic IP wall thermostats replace conventional wall thermostats, controlling the room temperature and heating process according to individual needs, resulting in immediate savings and energy cost reductions of up to 30%. The system becomes truly sophisticated when combining the thermostatic head, window and door sensor (HmIP-SWDx) and the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP), where all system functionality can be fully utilised, including intelligent heating prediction for maximum energy savings. In the mobile app (for Android and iOS in CZ), you can set up to several weekly temperature profiles, different daily temperature increase or decrease modes (per day and room) or a variety of advanced scenarios. When creating profiles and scenarios, you can take into account all your needs for heating automation with regard to energy savings and sensible temperature. You can set the night mode so that you get a good night's sleep, wake up to a comfortable temperature in the morning and enter a pre-warmed bathroom.
Easy to assemble
Wireless communication and battery operation offer easy installation without the need for wiring, meaning the thermostat can be placed anywhere in the room to measure room temperature at the desired location. The fixing is solved by means of mounting material (dowels, screws) or fixing by means of supplied adhesive tapes. Power is provided by two AAA pencil batteries with a lifetime of up to 2 years. The thermostat can be integrated into a 55 mm battery rack (HmIP-DS55) or operated without batteries in combination with the 55 mm Battery Power Supply (HmIP-BPS-2) for flush mounting. Open design for integration into multiple third-party frame types (e.g. Berker, Elsa, Gira, Merten, Jung, etc. ).
