iFi Go link 2

iFi Go link 2
iFi Go link 2 external sound card with ESS Sabre DAC and iFi Nexis app for hi-res sound on the go
The audio from your phone or laptop is limited by the built-in sound card, which is often a compromise rather than a true hi-fi experience, even on more expensive devices. The iFi Go link 2 external sound card solves this problem—just plug it in via USB-C and connect your favourite headphones. Inside, an award-winning ESS Sabre DAC chip plays audio in PCM format up to 384kHz and DSD256. The 3.5mm output jack uses S-Balanced technology to reduce noise and crosstalk, and the output power of up to 79mW at 32Ω drives a wide range of headphones. Compared to the previous generation, the Go link 2 is 8% smaller and 29% lighter, weighing a mere 7.8g. It's also the first model in the Go link series to fully support the iFi Nexis app for firmware updates and sound tweaking directly from your phone.

Hi-res sound with ESS Sabre DAC and Dynamic Range Enhancement technology
At the heart of the iFi Go link 2 is an award-winning ESS Sabre DAC chip, designed for precise and lossless digital signal conversion. The device plays audio in PCM format up to 384kHz and DSD up to DSD256 resolution—a quality that the built-in sound card of a phone or laptop typically doesn't offer. The manufacturer has also unlocked the Dynamic Range Enhancement feature on this chip, which helps the music better distinguish between quiet passages and loud peaks for a more lively and dynamic sound. Thanks to adjustments in the way distortion is corrected, harmonic distortion is up to 62% lower than the first-generation Go link, so the sound remains clean and accurate even at higher volumes.
S-Balanced output and ample power for a wide range of headphones
Just as important as the DAC chip itself is how the signal leaves the device. The Go link 2 uses S-Balanced technology, which applies the principles of a balanced connection to a standard unbalanced 3.5mm output. This halves the crosstalk between the left and right channels without needing headphones with a special balanced connector. An output power of up to 79mW at 32Ω and a low output impedance of under 0.4Ω ensure enough headroom to drive most headphones and earphones, from sensitive in-ear models to more demanding over-ear headphones.
iFi Nexis app and the smallest body in the history of the Go link series
The Go link 2 is the first model in the Go link series with full support for the iFi Nexis app. This means firmware updates happen wirelessly in moments, without needing to download files or connect the device to a computer. The app also offers two digital filters, hybrid and linear, to let you fine-tune the sound profile to your taste. These features are available exclusively on Android devices. The body housing all the electronics is 8% smaller and 29% lighter than the previous generation. Measuring 137×12×7.6mm and weighing just 7.8g, the Go link 2 is the smallest and lightest DAC iFi has ever made, fitting easily into a pocket or laptop case.
