TONEX PLUG combines real amp and effects modelling with mobile connectivity, making it perfect for silent playing, practice, recording, and rehearsals on the go. Its AI Machine Modeling technology provides the realistic sound and dynamic response of real amps and effects. The headphone amplifier can be used in various settings without a traditional amplifier or effects chain. Plug it directly into your instrument and connect your headphones for instant access to your presets. Bluetooth lets you stream accompaniment, backing tracks, YouTube lessons, and other audio from your mobile device. The wireless connection to the TONEX Control app allows you to change presets, adjust parameters, and save your own configurations. Its silent operation is also ideal for practising late at night or in environments where using a classic amp isn't possible.

Control the device using the TONEX Control mobile app for iOS and Android. The app lets you manage sounds, edit parameters, and wirelessly load presets onto the device. TONEX PLUG also offers physical controls for switching presets and adjusting the volume. The device is equipped with a 1/4" swivelling jack for connecting a guitar or bass and a 1/8" stereo output for headphones. The USB-C connector handles charging and connects to a computer, functioning as a sound interface with 24-bit / 44.1 kHz support. On the front, you'll find an LED indicator and controls for working with presets and power.

Your electric instrument is powered by AI Machine Modeling – a technology with AI integration that faithfully captures the character and dynamics of real amps and effects. This makes every note sound authentic and respond just like the original. The IK Multimedia TONEX PLUG operates in a frequency range of 5 to 20000Hz and has a dynamic range of 119dB, with minimal noise. Several effects are available:

Equaliser to adjust the frequency character of the sound

Access to a vast library of Tone Models

Users have access to over 40000 free Tone Models, plus additional Premium and Signature collections. You can search, edit, save, and wirelessly transfer presets to the device using the TONEX Control app. The device can also be used as a USB-C audio interface for recording your guitar or bass directly into your DAW software.
