The immune system of the human body
The immune system of the human body is a complex system that is associated with all regulatory body functions. It represents a type of biological surveillance and defense system that protects our organism from burdensome foreign organisms and metabolic waste products. In order to perform the various signalling and defence reactions, the functions of our immune system must be precisely and flexibly coordinated at all levels. Nutrition research looks at the impact of our eating habits on our health. The findings of this research so far clearly show the link between nutrient intake and the flexibility and responsiveness of our complex defence system. Similarly diverse as the functionality of our immune system is the complexity of its nutritional needs. It is only when many vitamins, minerals, trace elements and so-called bioactive plant substances work together that our biological defence system can fulfil its complex functions.
With PHYTO-PANMOL® (LOGO)
Immun44® syrup contains PHYTO-PANMOL®-VITAMIN C, a standardized extract from the high-value acerola fruit. Native to Central America, acerola (Malpighia glabra) is a particularly rich natural source of vitamin C.
Immun44® syrup contains PLANTOVIR®, a complex mixture of so-called polyphenols. Polyphenols are obtained by standardized extraction from high-value plants. They serve, like vitamins, minerals and trace elements combined and dosed according to the needs of the immune system, to nutritionally supply the immune metabolism.
Immun44® syrup contributes
- For the normal function of the immune system - Vitamins B6, folate, B12, vitamin A, vitamin C as well as the trace elements selenium and zinc contribute - alone or in biological interaction - to the normal function of the immune system.
- On the flexibility of the immune system - The responsiveness and flexibility of our immune system significantly determines the speed and effectiveness of our biological defence activity. The processes of cell division and cell specialization play a decisive role in this process. Folate, cobalamin (vit. B12) and zinc have a regulatory function in these cell division processes, and vitamin A in cell specialization.
- To immune system resilience - Like other organs and systems of our body, our immune system relies on sufficient energy supply and the most thorough protection against so-called oxidative stress. Riboflavin (vit. B2), vitamin E and plant polyphenols (from the plant Cistus incanus (rock rose)), natural vitamin C, trace elements selenium, manganese and zinc contribute to the complex protection of the body's cells against oxidative stress. In doing so, vitamin C helps to restore the "used up" vitamin E.
