Hybrid architecture
The 14th generation of Intel Core processors relies on performance and efficient cores. Compared to the 13th generation, the operating frequency and L3 cache capacity have been increased. The modern Core i7-14700K processor offers a base clock of 3.4GHz for its 8 performance cores. Depending on the load, the frequency then shoots up to 5.6GHz, which has a positive effect, especially in gaming or when processing up to 8K HDR video at 60 FPS.
Intel Thread Director
The new Intel Raptor Lake Refresh processor is compatible with motherboards with both the new DDR5 and DDR4 interfaces, so you can choose the option that suits you best. To ensure ideal scheduling of requests to the large and small cores of the Core i7-14700K processor, Intel had to develop the special Thread Director hardware scheduler.

Processor cores and threads
Processor cores, to a certain extent, act as separate processors and can handle computational tasks independently of each other. The more physical cores a processor has, the more tasks it can process simultaneously. Threads can be described as separate virtual cores that all modern processors have. An eight-core processor typically has sixteen threads, meaning it can handle sixteen processes at once.
Processor frequency
