Apple iPhone 15: New, more durable design, and even brighter display

The Apple iPhone 15 has a new, more durable design with a curved aluminium frame and a rear glass back with a matte finish and infused with five stylish colours. The display size remains the same at 6.1 inches, but the brightness has been improved. The Super Retina XDR display now has a maximum brightness of 1,600 nits in normal use, and up to 2,000 nits in sunlight, which is twice as bright as the iPhone 14.

Improved camera system for stunning photos

The iPhone 15's new highlight is the advanced dual-camera system. Even the base model features a 48MP front-facing camera, double that of older models, for stunning photos. The sensor uses a standard 2x telephoto, creating 24MP images. Other new features include an improved portrait mode with sharper details and more vibrant colors, and a smooth zoom feature for video recording.

iPhone 15 adopts the A16 Bionic chip from its top-tier predecessors

The heart of the iPhone 15 is the highly anticipated A16 Bionic chip, previously exclusive to the most powerful iPhone 14 Pro. The six-core CPU, five-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine are now much more powerful, faster, and efficient than before. Thanks to the new chip, you can create fantastic photos and videos, enjoy intense graphics when gaming, or multitask, but most importantly, the iPhone 15 still offers all-day battery life with even better performance.

The iPhone 15 has undergone structural improvements to enhance its durability, making it more resistant to impacts, water, and dust.

Connectivity: iPhone 15 gets a USB-C connector

The Lightning connectors used to date will be replaced by universal USB-C connectors for charging and data transfer on the entire iPhone 15 lineup. These connectors will be required for all devices sold in the European Union from the end of 2024. This means you can now share a charging connector with your Mac or iPad.

A new and improved Dynamic Island

The Dynamic Island, a live panel that users could previously only enjoy on the iPhone 14 Pro, has now also been adopted by the iPhone 15. It displays all your notifications and current live events, so you will never miss a meeting, a flight, or anything else. It's easy to see when your dinner is supposed to arrive, how much battery your headphones have, and if you're tracking two things at once, the dynamic panel can also be split to accomodate you.
