JBL SA750
The JBL SA750 is inspired by the classic JBL SA600 amplifier from the 1960s. With its retro style and walnut veneer side panels, it will be an aesthetic addition to any interior, but most importantly, it fits perfectly with the design of the iconic JBL Premium Classic speakers. However, the retro exterior is deceiving, as inside is the latest in audio streaming technology, a superb DAC, Wi-Fi wireless connectivity and Class G topology. Perfect integration into the listening space is aided by the sophisticated Dirac Live calibration system. The SA750 builds on JBL's experience as one of the most successful audio companies in the world. It uses the highest quality components and technology and is designed to deliver the ultimate musical experience.

Amplifier topology
With Class A hi-fi amplifiers, the traditional choice of audiophiles, we encounter two common problems. The single power supply used here operates continuously at full power, even when no signal is passing through. This results in low efficiency, high energy consumption and significant heating. Class A is great for reproducing the finest detail at low power (1-2 watts), but can struggle if you need a spike in power. Class A/B is the most commonly used class of amplifiers today. It has the advantage of a high power reserve and a lower price. It is effective, but as a result, this topology, due to transient distortion arising at very low power levels, fails to properly present all the subtle details that are the spirit of the music and that the listener appreciates. Class G is essentially a hybrid amplifier that uses Class A specifically for low-level signals, but turns on additional power for the higher parts of the power curve when needed. This keeps a significant portion of the curve in Class A with the finest detail undistorted, while maintaining the speed, accuracy and power reserve for perfect presentation of every musical genre.
Class G - the best of the options
With Class-G amplifier technology, the SA750 delivers perfect sound at all times. The amplifier offers a solid 2×120 W at 8 Ω (2×220 at 4 Ω), with the first 20 W of potential power delivered in pure Class A. Only in the event of an immediate need for higher output does the amplifier move to Class B, ensuring proper presentation of dynamic and power peaks. The result is a powerfully musical sound with Class A refinement and Class B dynamic capabilities. The G-Class offers high efficiency, low distortion and improved dynamic range, making it the ideal choice for audiophiles who demand the highest level of sound quality.
ESS 9038K2M DAC digital inputs for superior sound quality
While Class G amplifiers handle analog signal processing, the Sabre ESS 9038K2M high-end DAC gets the most out of your digital sources. Once you connect the digital source to the SA750, you get excellent presentation and a much more open sound with strong dynamics thanks to the integrated audiophile converter. Two coaxial digital inputs and two optical inputs allow you to connect up to four sources such as CD/SACD players etc.
Input for MM and MC turntable
Not only is the SA750 excellent in digital technology, but you can also use it very well to connect up to 5 analogue sources including a turntable. It has built-in phono preamplifier for both MM and MC transmissions. Unlike many other integrated phono preamps that merely add connectivity, the SA750 uses a carefully engineered audiophile-grade preamp with minimal noise and high transparency. This is a high quality component designed to fully satisfy even the most demanding vinyl lovers.
PROCESSOR mode
For easy integration into home multi-channel systems, PROCESSOR mode can be very useful, allowing you to configure any of the analog inputs (except the PHONO input) to work with a fixed output. With this handy feature, you can easily integrate the SA750 into your home theater system as a terminal stage for the Left and Right front channels. However, the other surround channels will be driven by the AV processor of the connected multichannel amplifier or receiver. You can take full advantage of the SA750's sound quality for stereo music listening from connected analogue and digital audio sources, and at the same time, without the need for additional rewiring, you can (by switching to the PROCESSOR mode input) use the speakers connected to the SA750 for a home theatre system.
MQA / ROON support
Fans of the latest high-resolution digital formats appreciate the MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) support offered by TIDAL Masters and the readiness for the increasingly popular "Roon Endpoint".
Flexible streamer
Of course, it also supports wireless streaming with AirPlay 2, uPnP and compatibility with Google Chromecast devices. You can easily control streaming from Tidal and many other music platforms from your phone or tablet using the MusicLife app, including the ability to play internet radio. Integrators will no doubt appreciate the IP control and compatibility with Control4 and Crestron.
Dirac Live listening room error correction
The SA750 also features the highly effective Dirac Live calibration system, which allows you to adjust the music reproduction to the room and effectively eliminate acoustic problems in the listening area through acoustic corrections. Dirac Live is cutting-edge software that uses sophisticated analysis of the sound of the speakers in your listening room to optimise overall audio performance. The SA750, together with Dirac Live technology, allows end users to perform professional-grade acoustic treatments in the comfort of their own home at no additional cost. A calibration microphone is included.
Stylish audio system
Whether you're streaming audio from a mobile device, listening to a CD or a turntable, you can enjoy an immersive music experience with the JBL CLASSIC range of components. When configured with the JBL Classic speakers, the SA550 and SA750 amplifiers, MP350 streamer, CD350 CD player and TT350 turntable will blend perfectly with each other thanks to their vintage design and create an aesthetic and consistent whole in the interior.
