The Korg Keystage 61 MIDI controller is designed for controlling music software and external synthesisers, both in the music studio and at live concerts. This controller provides a direct connection to digital audio workstations and integrates the MIDI 2.0 standard. The semi-weighted keyboard with precise velocity response features 61 keys and supports both polyphonic and channel aftertouch. The device includes a stereo audio interface, USB connectivity and is bus-powered. An Ableton Live 11 Lite software licence is also included.

The first MIDI 2.0 standard controller
This controller uses the MIDI 2.0 standard with two-way MIDI-CI Property Exchange communication for automatic configuration. Connected devices communicate with each other and instantly set individual parameters without any user intervention. The OLED displays show the precise names and values of assigned elements in real time. You no longer need to perform tedious manual controller mapping. Backwards compatibility enables communication with older MIDI 1.0 devices using classic DIN MIDI cables.
Advanced expression with MPE and aftertouch
The keys feature a newly designed semi-weighted mechanism with precise velocity response for a natural playing feel. Support for both polyphonic and channel aftertouch provides detailed control over sound parameters. Compatibility with MPE technology conveys the subtle nuances of your playing dynamics. This allows you to influence the tone of each key pressed completely independently of the others. This system supports a wide range of software and hardware sound sources.
Deep integration with your DAW
This controller offers official integration with Ableton Live and Korg Gadget for instant transport and parameter control. When connected, the system recognises the active software and automatically maps the eight main controls. When you switch between programs, the settings change instantly in real time without interrupting your workflow. The package includes a licence for Ableton Live 11 Lite software. The controller also supports DAWs like Logic, FL Studio, Cubase, and Studio One.
Powerful arpeggiator and chord modes
The arpeggiator offers a wide selection of patterns and advanced settings, including gate length and randomisation. You can use aftertouch-triggered note repeats or random selection. The chord mode includes thirty-two preset chord sets for quick harmony creation. Another 32 slots are available for saving your own custom combinations. A strumming mode lets you play chords in a way that mimics a guitar performance.
Integrated audio interface
This controller has a built-in audio interface for direct audio output to your monitoring speakers. The stereo L/MONO and R outputs with 6.3mm TS connectors are complemented by a headphone output of the same size. This solution simplifies setups for concerts and in your home recording studio without needing an additional external interface. The rear panel includes EXPRESSION and DAMPER jacks with half-damper support, a USB B port, and a DC 9V power connector.
Built for portability
The controller weighs only 5kg for easy transport between the studio and the stage. The construction is highly durable, withstanding frequent transport to gigs. The package includes a special expansion plate for stably positioning a tablet or laptop. You can mount this plate at two different angles in the centre or on the right side of the instrument. The controller also offers an Auto power-off function and comes with the Korg Kontrol configuration software.
