KORG microKORG2
The modern microKORG retains the iconic genre selection with a large rotary control that allows intuitive browsing of sounds, as well as five dedicated edit controls for quick manipulation of various audio parameters. The concept of bank selection has been expanded with a new category system in which sounds are sorted into different time contexts "Classical", "Modern" and "Future". The microKORG user interface features a bright 2.8" colour LCD display. Edit sounds visually with animated parameter displays using five controls for quick results. Simply press a button to change the display to an oscilloscope, allowing you to monitor your audio. The redesigned microKORG user interface opens up new and surprisingly simple ways to create sounds. It is familiar to experts and intuitive to beginners.

Evolution of functions and controls
While some iconic aspects of the original have been retained, such as the practical shape, easy to use mini keyboard, genre selection using a large rotary dial or a vocoder with the appropriate microphone, modern microKORG offers a completely redesigned, versatile sound generation, significantly more audio programs and a visually pleasing user interface. The microKORG has a 2.8" colour LCD display that makes editing simple and intuitive, but which also provides accurate feedback on the current settings. The display graphically shows parameter changes and current sounds. The innovative microKORG is also equipped with a powerful voice processor that offers harmonizer and hard-tuning effects in addition to the vocoder. And the new loop recorder is ideal for spontaneous jamming in the studio, rehearsal room and on stage. Intuitive controls and powerful sound make this microKORG the ideal tool for true synth fans and newcomers to the world of audio synthesis.

Redesigned voice processor
The original microKORG was known for its easy-to-use vocoder and microphone, which is one of the reasons it remained popular for decades. The modern microKORG takes this concept and takes it to the next level by offering a contemporary, powerful voice processor. In addition to the classic vocoder effects, this voice processor brings a hard-tune pitch correction effect, as well as a harmonizer that can change the pitch of your voice or add additional harmonic voices. You can also add Hall, Delay and other effects.

Inspirational loop recorder
The advanced microKORG features an integrated loop recorder that can be used to create backing tracks through looping and overdubs, making it ideal for live performances. Three dedicated buttons for record, play/pause and cancel/repeat ensure intuitive use of the looper. Recording and playback settings are easily customisable with an easy-to-access menu, so anyone can start making music right away. Of course, microKORG would not be complete without a built-in, easy-to-use arpeggiator. When you use a loop recorder and an arpeggiator at the same time, you can create huge soundscapes.

Other synthetic sounds and categories
Expanding its sound palette, the current microKORG introduces a category and bank selection feature by genre, providing quick access to incredibly versatile sounds in the Classic, Modern and Future categories. This genre-based category and bank selection feature allows you to quickly find the right sounds without the need for lengthy and laborious preset searching. Each of the three banks contains eight categories, which in turn contain eight sound programs. There is also a user bank with an additional 64 memory locations for custom sound creations or your own favourite sounds.

Virtual Analog Synthesis
microKORG is a virtual analog synthesizer that emulates analog circuits. An important feature of virtual analogue synths is that there are no physical limitations on what the circuit can look like, giving you the ability to create your own sounds, limited only by your imagination. Despite its compact size, the microKORG offers the virtual linking function that experienced users know from analogue synthesizers. Using the graphical user interface, you can quickly and easily create custom patch connections to produce detailed and interesting sounds.

Iconic design with a modern look
The basic shape of the body, the control panel with green markings, the shape of the controls and other iconic elements of microKORG have been retained, but the design has been reworked into a modern look. The new 2.8" colour display is centrally located and the entire control panel has been moved back to provide a comprehensive playing and sound experience. The cover is painted in an unusual metallic colour that enhances the three-dimensional effect, and the side panels have a black 'sandblasted' finish that gives a robust impression and looks good even after extended use.

Significantly improved effects
In order to expand the sonic possibilities as much as possible, three blocks of effects have been developed, including nine new modulation effects (with dynamic effects) and six types of delay and reverb. The three effect blocks can be switched on and off independently, and the clean/distorted ratio of the modified sound can be controlled independently. The signal is routed through the effects section and then into a 2-band parametric EQ with adjustable bands for bass and treble, allowing you to finalise the character of the sound. This way, you can create new sounds from the ground up using just microKORG without having to use additional mixing or effects equipment.

Compact keyboard with high mobility
The keyboard of the modern microKORG has been redesigned by changing the spacing between the black and white keys to ensure even better playability. It's a mini keyboard with a natural feel that's perfect for playing fast runs. The front-closed keys offer a high quality feel and are also suitable for glissando. The 37-key keyboard also has two octave shift buttons, which are in exactly the right place and invaluable for live performances. This allows you to fully concentrate on your game without having to worry about settings. The microKORG is easy to carry as it is only 54.2 cm wide and weighs 2.1 kg (without batteries and microphone). The tool can be powered by either the included AC adapter or six AA batteries, meaning that the microKORG can be used virtually anywhere.

Limited colour versions
To celebrate the launch of this version of microKORG, two limited colour versions of the instrument are available for a short time. In addition to the control surface and side panels, these models are equipped with aluminum parts of the program selector and pitch bend/modulation wheels. One variant is the cool Metallic Black and the other is the beautiful Metallic White with a combination of pearl white and silver colour accents. Limited special models are also supplied with matching soft covers in the appropriate colour.
