For diarrhoea and/or vomiting in infants
For the dietary management of diarrhoea and/or vomiting in infants from the end of the 4th month of life and young children. The rehydrating solution is delicately flavoured with natural ginger extract, which also soothes the stomach. The solution is therefore also suitable as a supportive agent in febrile diseases accompanied by sweating and stomach upset. Giving the drink to children prone to travel sickness, both before and during the trip, has proven successful. The administration of the drink leads to a rapid normalization of the internal environment of the organism. Proper preparation and dosage of the solution will ensure timely and adequate replacement of ions and water in case of vomiting, fever, overheating and diarrhoea.
Ingredients
Glucose, sodium chloride, sodium citrate, potassium chloride, ginger extract (osmolarity - 240 mOsm/l).
Recommended dosage
Dissolve 1 sachet in 250 ml boiled baby water and cool. Serve from a bottle, cup or by the spoonful. Child (8 kg) on artificial nutrition, mild dehydration with vomiting: 8 × 50 ml = 400 ml + 160 ml (2 watery stools during the first 4 hours), i.e. receives 560 ml of cooled solution in the first 4 hours. The situation has improved, we can give milk formula. The child had 3 more watery stools in the second phase - we added 3 × 8 × 10 ml = 240 ml of Kulíšek Forte.

Degrees of dehydration of the child according to the medical classification
Lightweight:
Loss of weight less than 5% compared to the original state. The child is conscious but restless, more often requires a drink. The mucous membranes are moist, the child is urinating sufficiently, the soft part on the front of the head (large fontanelle) is not sunken and the skin shows no signs of changes in water content.
Middle:
A weight loss of 5-10% compared to the initial state, which is accompanied by a great restlessness or even flaccidity of the child, who therefore may not be as active in drinking. The mucous membranes are dry, the child urinates less, the eyes are sunken and the large fontanelle is also slightly sunken. The skin shows signs of reduced water content (if we take the skin on the abdomen between our fingers and create a so-called. eyelash, which only gradually returns to its original position).
Hard:
The weight loss is more than 10% compared to the initial state, the child is sleepy, his limbs are cold. The mucous membranes are clearly dry, the child urinates very little or not at all. The eyes and large fontanelle are significantly sunken, and the eyelashes do not return to their original position for a long time. For moderate dehydration, the doctor considers hospital treatment; for severe dehydration, a hospital stay is necessary!
