The LaCie 8big Pro5 is a premium eight-slot RAID storage solution with Thunderbolt 5 for creative professionals, video editors and studios who need maximum speed, capacity and reliability for the most demanding production workflows. The 120Gbps bandwidth of the Thunderbolt 5 interface delivers transfer speeds of up to 2800MB/s in RAID0 mode and 2500MB/s in RAID5 mode – enough power for smooth 8K RAW video editing, transferring large project files and bottleneck-free multistream workflows. With 64TB of capacity across eight enterprise-class drives, scalable up to 256TB, and support for hardware RAID 0/1/5/6/10/50/60, JBOD and multi-RAID configurations, it ensures maximum flexibility for any professional scenario. A single Thunderbolt 5 cable not only transfers data at 120Gbps, but also delivers up to 140W of power to a laptop or high-performance workstation. Three USB-C ports (1 host + 2 daisy-chain Thunderbolt 5 + 1 USB 20Gbps) enable the creation of complex studio setups with support for up to 7.68PB of total storage when paired with a Mac Studio. A rugged aluminium enclosure with a handle, hot-swappable drives, LaCie RAID Manager and Toolkit software, a two-month Adobe Creative Cloud Pro membership, and a five-year warranty with Rescue Data Recovery Services complete the picture of a no-compromise professional storage solution. A Thunderbolt 5 cable and power cables are included in the box as standard.
