i-Size (R129) – the modern safety standard for children's car seats
i-Size, or regulation R129, is legislation concerning car seats that uses a new method of crash testing car seats for infants and children, including a new side-impact test. i-Size car seats are selected based on the child's height to ensure the child is the correct size for the car seat. The i-Size safety tests are carried out using advanced Q-series dummies, which have more sensors than the dummies used in the R44 test.
Warning:
Only install the seat in the forward-facing position. This seat is only suitable for installation in cars that have a three-point safety belt with a retractor, which meets the requirements of UN/ECE Regulation No. 16. Do not install the seat in a location in the vehicle with active airbags. Follow the instructions and recommendations in the user manual.
