2 types of Philips AVENT nipple shields
The small Philips AVENT nipple shields are designed for nipples with a diameter from 12mm and the medium ones up to 21mm. To find your size, place one of the perforated rings on your nipple. Then turn the shield clockwise and guide the nipple into the hole. Then stretch the base of the shield around the areola. If there is 2mm of space between the nipple and the silicone, the shield fits correctly.
Easy and hygienic cleaning
Philips AVENT shields should be cleaned after each use. To make cleaning easier, simply place the shields in the hygienic case or in boiling water for 5 minutes. If you are placing the shields in the case, add 25ml of water inside. Then place in the microwave for 3 minutes at 750–1,000W. Let them cool for five minutes, drain the water and they will be ready to use.
