13 Samurai - DVD

DVD Film - They fight for glory. They die for justice. Japanese director Takashi Miike is renowned as a filmmaker who can inject genre films with an unmistakable personality through stylistic exuberance and imaginative execution of schemes. In his twenty years in the business, he has made over eighty titles in various genres, but only now has he been given the opportunity to make a narrative samurai film. His pompous re-make of the 1963 film of the same name focuses on a spectacular update of the classic style. The blood-soaked tale of thirteen samurai who take on the task of killing a villainous prince culminates in an epic battle pitting the heroes against two hundred opponents.
