1984

The famous anti-utopian novel by English writer George Orwell - one of the pillars of 20th century literature. The author, unlike many others in his time, did not succumb to the euphoria of post-war optimism about the prospects of eternal peace. This work is a suggestive image of the political perversion that ends every revolutionary movement in history. Winston Smith is an ordinary, not-so-brave man who wishes to know the real, unmanipulated face of the past. Is he really the only one who hasn't lost his memory? Or is he just a broken cog in the wheel that needs to be fixed? The novel 1984 describes a world in which all power is usurped by the Party. Absolute totalitarianism is fed by permanent war between the three continental powers. Anything against the collective thinking of the PARTY is severely punished. Human individuality becomes a crime.
