601st to Tora Bora

In March 2004, the government of the Czech Republic sent a military contingent to Afghanistan consisting of members of the elite 601st Special Forces Group. During this first ever combat mission of our army since World War II, our special forces faced an experienced and very dangerous opponent. They operated in extremely challenging terrain and climatic conditions, right in the places where Osama bin Laden had been hiding not long before. The book tells the story of this extremely dangerous mission through the eyes of those who personally participated in it. This is an extraordinary testimony. Most of the information it contains, as well as the identities of those who speak from its pages, was until recently subject to strict secrecy. The publication is complemented by two hundred unique photographs, the vast majority of which have never been published.
