A fire once burned here

A BURNT-OUT CAMPSITE, STRANGE RITUALS, AND ONE DARK FAMILY SECRET…

When Viktorie Minářová decides to go on holiday to her hometown of Kazdíkov, she has no idea that instead of sightseeing and swimming, an inexplicable mystery awaits her. Her young cousin, Alena, has run away from home under unclear circumstances. What’s more, no one wants to deal with it – not even the police. Where did the girl go? Why is no one looking for her? And is she even still alive?

Viktorie is determined to find Alena, but in doing so, she unleashes a series of events that quickly spiral out of her control. Someone is desperately trying to keep the truth from coming out. The trail seems to lead to Viktorie's friend Káťa, with whom she was once unhappily in love. But what does the eccentric artistic community have to do with it? What is hidden in the abandoned campsite? And who or what is the Beast that the artists are so afraid of?

To solve the mystery, Viktorie must bring carefully hidden secrets to light – not only her own, but also those of her family and the entire town. Can she distinguish which ones are harmless and which are deadly?
