A snail is slow, but it's never late.

A quiet revolution against the cult of hustle and a reminder that being slow doesn't mean being lazy

Have you ever thought that a snail, which moves so slowly, will never reach the end of its journey? Have you ever wanted to just grab it and move it closer to its destination? Not just in Korea, where the author is from, but throughout our modern world, fast and prompt action is usually associated with diligence, intelligence, and success. A slow pace, on the other hand, is associated with laziness and a lack of effort. However, a fundamental truth of the universe is that the slow contains the fast, and the fast contains the slow. Everything is interconnected, and one cannot exist without the other. This philosophy invites us to look at the world, other people, and ourselves in a slightly different way.
The book *A Snail Is Slow, But It's Never Late* brings comfort and calm. Its author, the Buddhist nun Jung-mok, teaches us how to slow down and free ourselves from the stress that accompanies our lives in the hectic modern world. Through stories from the natural world, inspired by Buddhist philosophy, Jung-mok shares her kind wisdom and offers simple exercises to help us live more happily. The book will open your eyes to see the beauty that surrounds us and to find inner peace and tranquillity. By human standards, a snail's speed is laughably slow.
But by the world's standards, it is simply perfect. This collection of short stories and bitesize wisdom from Korean Buddhist nun Jung-mok encourages us to be more aware of the world around us and advises on how to achieve happiness and contentment.
