A two-year-old rumor: A Rooster Waves from a Distance - CD

In 1988, a new form of the group Dvouletá fáma was formed. After a few years of hiatus, the band was restored in a changed form - from the new-wave fury of the early 80s it became a very alternative fury based on the distinctive approach of Radomil Uhlir (lyrics, vocals) and the music of the remaining duo from the first line-up, represented by Martin Vik (gt) and Zdenek Konopásek (ds). The music betrayed that the boys recognized Captain Beefheart and other screeching and soundless bands. But everything was drowned out by Radmil Uhlíř, who finally found a more permanent place to vent his mental outpourings. The first concert of the new formation at Chmelnica 1988 was truly revolutionary and was released first on the MC Dvouletá Fáma - Live 1988 (Black Point 1990) and later on CD as part of the 2CD DVOULETÁ FÁMA - Studio 1983 / Live 1988 (Black Point 2001), where the first CD was the early recordings of the group from 1983 and the second disc presented just "Uhlíř's" 1988 group. The recording of the current album "Z dálky mává kohout piv" (1989) was already out at the time of the 2CD Archiv release, but the publisher rejected it on the grounds that it was rather bland compared to the 1988 premiere, so only some songs from it were used on Archiv. Now this recording has been released in its entirety on a new CD and it must be admitted that from the musical and artistic point of view this recording is different from the premiere one. It is therefore excellent that it has been published and that there is a possibility of comparing the development of the Two-Year Fama in the years 1988-1989.
