About love seriously

Paula, Judith, Brida, Malika, and Jorinde. Five women as different as they can possibly be, yet they are connected not just by kinship or friendship, but above all, by fate. All of them long to find happiness – that elusive, fickle thing which can so easily dissolve and turn into pain. Pain with which they all have plenty of experience.

The German bestselling author and winner of the Nicolas Born Prize, Daniela Krien, is being published in Czech for the first time. The novel Love in Case of Emergency will captivate you not only with its brilliant interweaving of characters with distinctive perspectives and its apt, engaging language, but also with its excellent portrayal of the genius loci of the former East German city of Leipzig, along with its own extraordinary history.
