Aku Aku: Utaja Hunata (Everything Will Disappear) - CD

Unusually topical lyrics are present on the new AKU AKU recording. The unprecedented musicianship in the Czech underground is a matter of course, the new, young drummer fit into the group of older gentlemen perfectly and the spirit of King Crimson is still hovering over them. The album's title - referring to the band's prenatal, Bolshevik-banned name - suggests that AKU AKU are reckoning with the past while looking to the future with trepidation. After poetic or Tolkienesque lyrics, this time they mercilessly beat into the present, protest and revolt, encoded into their music after more than thirty years, bearing further fruits.
