Alena Wagner: Sidonie the Magnificent

Sidonie Nádherná from Borutín, a friend of the poet Rainer Maria Rilke and the critic and writer Karel Kraus, the beautifier and protector of the castle and park in Vrchotové Janovice, is not a typical famme fatale. In her biographical book Sidonie the Magnificent, subtitled "The End of Old Europe", published by Argo, Alena Wagner expands the view of this woman as a mere "helper and muse". It reads: Dana Cerna.
