All the ones he buried

Twelve-year-old Sophie and her mother, Amelia-Rose, move from Massachusetts to London, where they meet the charismatic Matty Melgren. He quickly becomes an indispensable part of their lives, acting as a father figure to young Sophie. However, when problems arise in the adults' relationship, a serial killer begins to terrorise the local area, choosing a very specific type of victim – women who are the spitting image of Amelia-Rose.
Matty is eventually convicted of these serial murders, but his guilt remains a matter of speculation. The endless questions and uncertainty ultimately destroy both mother and daughter. Almost twenty years later, Sophie receives a letter from Battlemouth Prison, informing her that Matty is dying and wants to see her.
It seems Sophie will finally get the answers she so desperately craves. But will the truth be her salvation, or the final nail in her coffin?
