Alphaville: Forever Young

LP Record Pop music was never the same after 12 January 1984: on that day, the band Alphaville released "Big In Japan", beginning an incredible triumphal march around the world with their debut single. The song not only went straight to number one in the charts in Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, and the US Billboard Dance Charts, but also hit the top 10 in the UK and many other countries worldwide. It became the best-selling single of 1984 in Germany! And yet, this was just the start of a much bigger adventure: following the global success of their first single, Marian Gold, Bernhard Lloyd and Frank Mertens recorded the album "Forever Young", which still enjoys international cult status today.
