He seeks refuge in a house on the embankment where he spent his holidays as a child. He hopes to find a new beginning right here. That words can still change the world. But instead of peace, he finds a life in which every choice comes at a cost. When he meets Eva, he comes to believe that love can exist even in a time that robs people of their future. Within the walls of the old house, friendships are formed, courage is born, and people disappear, never to return. And a secret waits deep beneath its foundations. Not everything buried by the war was meant to remain forgotten. More than half a century later, Honza returns to the place where his fate was forever changed. This time, not to reminisce.
