Angels in America (2DVD) - DVD

God has left heaven. The year is 1985, Reagan is in the White House and death is swinging to the rhythm of AIDS. Society is dominated by hypocrisy, fear of being different and shame, remorse for past transgressions, drugs and, above all, sex.

HBO's six-part miniseries Angels in America is considered an extraordinary television event - an intimate yet epic spectacle that reflects on the politics and morality of the time through the story of six characters whose lives intertwine in the tumultuous environment of late 1980s New York.
Straddling the line between comedy and tragedy, love and betrayal, life and death, the audience follows their journey through the landscape of despair and hope that was so defining for late 20th century America.
