The second, revised edition of a publication by a successful and respected non-fiction author is now available
Even seventy years after the events surrounding the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich, Hitler's former governor in our country and an SS murderer, and despite the many books that deal in detail with this crowning act of resistance in our occupied land, or touch upon it to a greater or lesser extent, not all questions have been fully answered, and not all mysteries and uncertainties have been unravelled.
In the introduction, the experienced non-fiction author professes his unconditional respect for the people who never accepted the Munich Agreement or the subsequent occupation of the rest of the mutilated country and, of their own volition, threw themselves into what at first seemed a hopeless struggle to regain their lost freedom. In the context of the assassination, however, he does not conceal the mistakes that even the bravest made, or the weaknesses and doubts they could not escape – but he confronts them from all sides with the circumstances and limitations of the time.
