Apple: Celebration - CD

At the Folkové prázdniny (Folk Holidays) festival in Náměšť nad Oslavou, JABLKOŇ played the concert of the year, not only because of the large number of guests, but above all because of the different faces that fans know by names like Malá lesní Jablkoň (Little Forest Jablkoň) or Velká polní Jablkoň (Big Field Jablkoň).

This is because the group can be rock, alternative, jazzy, folk or folk-rock, and with violin virtuoso Jaroslav Svěcený, they move into the realms of experimental classical music. All these faces then wonderfully combine into one, whose characteristic features are above all playfulness, innovation, a kind smile, and a lot of energy and musical ideas dressed in typical, Jablkoň-esque playful, virtuosic instrumentation. The concert featured a wide range of invited guests, regular collaborators Jaroslav Svěcený, singer-saxophonist Anička, the girls' choir Skřivánek from Židlochovice, trumpeter Michal Gera and tuba player Filip Spálený, but also, surprisingly, Jiří Stivín, Zuzana Lapčíková and Petr Váša, who physically recited “Lokomotivám se motají kola” (The Locomotives' Wheels are Spinning) with Jablkoň.
