A mostly pictorial textbook with 329 diagrams and an accompanying summary text. The diagrams describe complex control circuits using simplified block feedback circuits that aid in understanding the regulatory processes in the body and that are responsible for maintaining a stable internal environment. The two-colour publication is intended for medical students, or non-medical medical students, but due to its simplicity and high didactic value it is also useful in postgraduate studies.
