Bad Beef Hat: Healing to Madness - LP
BAD BEEF HAT's "Healing to Madness" album was released on coloured vinyl in a limited edition of 300 copies. This band was active on the Czechoslovak alternative scene between 1989 and 1991 and was made up of well-known musicians from other bands. They played here e.g. Filip Topol and David Skála from Psích vojáků, Jiří Kabeš from Plastic People Of The Universe, members of OZW, MCH Band and others. The central figure and author was Zdeněk Hmyzák Novák from the group Ženy. The group created unrehearsed songs with absurd lyrics, and was not afraid of any adventure. BAD BEEF HAT is e.g. found himself in 1990 in Holland, where he performed together with Jan Spaleny's ASPM and the Moravian Dulcimer Band at the representative days of "Czechoslovak-Dutch friendship" in Delft.
It wasn't easy to collect the sound recordings for the current album. In the end, the collection was assembled and subsequently sound-aligned in the studio. And it was the same with the pictures: no contemporary images were found in the photographers' archives; after a long search, one group photo and one photo of the protagonist, which are used on the cover, surfaced. The album features lyrics and sleevenotes, as well as an extensive interview with the leader of BAD BEEF HAT
