Maddie is a kind and sensible thirty-year-old woman, but she also has a bohemian side: she studied art history and would love to make a name for herself as an artist. So far, she hasn't had any luck, is broke, and so accepts a summer job offer: she will work as a hostess on a luxury yacht in Croatia, where a group of friends from the fashion industry are cruising. Her friend Nina, whose brother Nick is one of the guests on the boat, arranged the job for her. He comes from a completely ordinary farming family, but is now dating a model, Tara, whom he met when a fashion shoot took place on his farm. Maddie tries to succeed in her role as a hostess and to please the pampered guests, but the arrogant Tara doesn't make it any easier for her.
Things are starting to fall apart between Nick and Tara; after all, they each come from a different world. One of the guests, the handsome and wealthy Simon, is interested in Maddie. He appreciates her artistic talent and curvy figure – but are his intentions genuine? At the same time, Maddie realises that she likes Nick more and more…
