Beatles: Please Please Me (Vinyl LP) (Remaster 2009) - LP

Please Please Me is the first Beatles album released on March 22, 1963 as a quick response to the success of the singles Please Please Me (# 1) and Love Me Do (# 17). Of the fourteen songs on the album, eight were written by John Lennon / Paul McCartney.

In May 1963, this album reached the top of the British charts and remained in it for thirty weeks, until it was replaced by the album With the Beatles . This was unusual for the UK music market, as albums with film music and light songs were mostly at the peak of sales during this period.
In 2003, the album reached number 39 on Rolling Stone magazine' s list of the 500 best albums of all time. It was the sixth album of eleven to make it to the charts from The Beatles. Sgt. Pepper' s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Revolver, Rubber Soul, The Beatles (The White album) and Abbey Road .
Two songs from Please Please Me , “I Saw Her Standing There“ and “Please Please Me“ are on The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
