Beautiful Karolína

The beautiful Karolína was born during a fierce storm and immediately had to fight for her survival in a ruthless world. Fortunately, she was rescued and later raised by her aunt Kateřina. On her deathbed, Kateřina reveals that Karolína’s real mother, her sister also named Karolína, died in childbirth. But what shocks Karolína even more is the revelation that her father is none other than Emperor Rudolf II, who loved her mother above all else…
However, Countess Kateřina Stradová, the emperor’s long-time mistress and mother of his six children, has not forgotten who once nearly ousted her from her privileged position. And when one day she meets Karolína, tragedy is not far behind. Karolína’s entire family perishes in flames and at the hands of assassins hired by Stradová, and Karolína loses her unborn child. But she miraculously survives and embarks on a painful journey, slowly plotting her revenge on the murderers and seeking to reunite with the man who once saved her life as a newborn.
Even in his arms, however, she finds no safety. The people who want to prevent Karolína from appearing before Rudolf II as his long-lost daughter will stop at nothing. And the cruellest and most dangerous of them all finds a way to profit from Karolína’s beauty in the most wicked way possible…
