Before the storm

The audiobook Before the Storm by Zuzana Hartmanová is the first part of the successful Czech fantasy trilogy Rats of the Apocalypse. Ondřej Brett lent his voice to the novel. The gods were overthrown eighty years ago. And their fall left Ler desolate, scarred and largely uninhabitable. Magic-contaminated soil, mutations and no surface water are a harsh reality. Venturing outside the protected cities can easily mean death for ordinary mortals. But not everyone has been able to accept this, and so they look for ways to outwit the laws of nature and man - like rats, they look for loopholes in which to survive. Because every apocalypse needs its rats.
