Bohumil Hrabal: The Tender Barbarian

Bohumil Hrabal remembered the graphic artist and painter Vladimír Boudník about five years after his friend's death. Hrabal's narrative is unsentimental; he remembers the exceptional artist as an extraordinary and complex personality. The essayistic passages alternate with stories from the life of the former Libeň group of bohemians. It reads: Igor Bareš.
