Brabenec Vratislav, Pal-Post Unit: Rose on the Cumin - CD

Plastic People saxophonist Vratislav Brabenec releases a brand new album Růže na kmínku.
As with the title The End of Summer, its focus is on Brabec's poetry. The author invited several bandmates to record, which formed the Pal-Post Unit. It is not without interest that the natural leader of the ensemble was the multi-instrumentalist and theatre director Jan Komárek, who had already collaborated with Brabenec on The End of Summer. Komárek also mixed and produced the new title. The group took its name from Brabec's poem Pal-Post Unit, a collage-like text written in automatic typing in the manner of Allen Ginsberg's Howl. Other players are Ivan Macúch on violin, Monika Knoblochová on keyboards, Lukáš Polák on guitar and GDBMN as a guitar guest in one song. Komárek handled the prepared guitar, Vratislav Brabenec the saxophone and of course all the vocals. The album contains 19 songs in total. The texts, recited in the author's hoarse voice, send an urgency to the listener, but do not force him to participate. It's as if Brabenec is saying: "That's the way I feel, you can listen to it and think about it, or you may not care, but that's about all I can say. ”
The 28-page booklet contains all the texts in Czech and English, photographs of the band and individual artists and drawings by František Skála.
