Braveheart - DVD

The film is inspired by the true historical figure of William Wallace, who in the 13th century took the lead in resistance against King Edward I of England. William secretly married his wife Murron [Marn] to avoid the king' s ordained law the first night. One day, however, English soldiers try to rape her, and when William defends her, she is declared an outlaw and Murron is executed. Wallace leads the resistance against the English lords and gains an ally in Princess Isabelle, thanks to which he avoids most of the king' s traps. In the end, however, Wallace is captured for betraying his own army.
