Breast reconstruction after mastectomy

The authors describe the most commonly used surgical methods of breast reconstruction using both implants and living tissue. They are based mainly on their own experience and the conditions of health care in the Czech Republic. In addition to detailed descriptions of reconstructive surgeries, the reader will also read about general aspects of breast reconstruction and its relation to other cancer care. The book also contains chapters on prophylactic mastectomies and partial resection procedures with emphasis on their oncological safety and final aesthetic outcome. The book is intended not only for plastic surgeons but also for other health professionals involved in the care of patients with breast cancer. The publication contains 180 colour photographs and 120 black and white pen drawings.
