Finding and brutally destroying a winged mutant named Gray is exactly the kind of job Brian “Bull” Edger has always enjoyed. Under normal circumstances, it would be easy, even in Norport, a city where ghouls, werewolves, angels, and other monsters live alongside humans. But Edger’s task is complicated by the interference of the leaders of practically every faction operating in Norport – from the vampire Queen of Hunger to the demonic gangster Heralf and the old god Chronicler.
Not to mention the assassins, whose skill increases as a mysterious client raises the price on his head, and the persistent insurance agents. But even the attempts to secure him a cosy spot in the boneyard are not as annoying as the echoes of the past, maliciously trying to crawl back into Edger's life through every possible crack.
As the moon slowly waxes towards full, madness spreads through the city, the laws of reality cease to function, and blood flows in the streets… The forecast for the future warns: Increased probability of a brutal massacre, followed by a light touch of the apocalyptic.
