Charles Ray: Ray Charles (Mono) - LP

Vinyl reissue of the American musician's debut album. Ray Charles first released the album in 1957, and re-released it in 1962 under a different title. For the purpose of the new release, a mono remaster of the 2015 recording was used.

The brilliant singer, songwriter and musician was the main representative of soul music in the 1950s and a pioneer of the fusion of soul with rhythm'n'blues or gospel. Frank Sinatra called him "the only real genius in the music industry". He was mainly devoted to soul, jazz, blues, but also country.
