As a seventeen-year-old messenger apprentice, he is about to embark on his first overnight journey. He finds himself in the freezing mountains, alone and with a dangerous load. In addition, he's still haunted by the giant rock demon One-Handed...
There was a time when demons weren't so bold. The hounds did more than just keep the coremen in bounds, they enabled man to defend himself, to fight and to win. Arlen would like to return this magic to the world. Abban, the merchant of the Great Bazaar of Krasiya, will again willingly offer to buy anything that the human heart desires. The hero of the Message is Trnka Damaj. After a family tragedy, he flees into the swamps. Alone, unprotected, with only his own wits and a pinch of herbal knowledge. Can a little boy defy a night full of demons? But Ragen, who is beginning to age after twenty years in the saddle, is willing to risk anything to save him.
