Clapton Eric: Happy Xmas /Deluxe (2018) - CD

British guitarist, singer and songwriter Eric Clapton is releasing his first Christmas album Happy Xmas (deluxe version), which will be released on December 7. This is the 24th studio album, which comes two years after the release of the album I Still Do.

Happy Xmas mixes well-known Christmas classics with lesser-known ones, which are complemented by new songs from Clapton' s pen, such as For Love On Christmas Day. Clapton himself took care of the cover of the record, illustrating it himself.

“I thought that Christmas songs could be recorded with a subtle blues touch. So I started thinking about how to incorporate blues lines between vocals, “bring Clapton closer. “I did best with the song Have Yourself and Merry Little Christmas, which defined the basic style. "
