CM Danaj: Song Garden - CD

It is not usual for us to get interesting information from a completely different field while listening to a music album. The album of dulcimer music Danaj is characterized by this peculiarity as a tribute to the botanist and folklorist Vladimír Úlehl. In addition to his scientific work in his field, Vladimír Úlehla was also an important figure in public and cultural life, and his lifelong interests included folk song. He devoted himself to its collection, filming folk traditions and journalistic activities in this field, especially during the occupation, when he was prevented from teaching and research after the closure of universities. The band recorded 15 titles for their album, and in addition to the permanent members, several guests also perform here. The singing of soloists and choirs is traditionally accompanied by violins, violas, clarinets, double bass and dulcimer. The compact disc can also be inserted into a computer to obtain additional information about Professor Úlehl and the band, both textual and visual. It' s a great addition to the experience of listening to an album, where we understand why the professor loved this music so much. And he hasn' t heard her in a band from such a great band as Danaj!
