He found them on the streets. He got them further than they expected.

The film tells the true life story of controversial basketball coach Ken Carter (Samuel L. Jackson).
Carter closed the gym of his undefeated team when he found out that the players were doing poorly in school. For his action he was both sternly rejected and enthusiastically praised. He had to overcome the resistance of players, parents and the entire community who forced him to reopen the field. He decided to show young people a future that transcends gangs, drugs, prison and even basketball.
