Cocotte Minute: Proti Sobě (2006) - CD

COCOTTE MINUTE - AGAINST SELF, or there is nothing so good in Czech hard music now.

The previous year' s album debut Czeko brought the band not only a big clip hit I should shoot you, but also the reputation of one of the best and most sought-after rock shows in the country during two years of honest playing. This probably also reached Dan Land, who chose ““ Kokoty ““ as the starting front band at last year' s Storm concerts. For COCOTTE MINUTE (which is the French term for papiňák) it was a risk, but they came out = both crowded big halls in Prague and Ostrava took them. Because this band has a big rock ball.

If you listen to the news AGAINST YOURSELF, you may admit that the upper subtitle is not inflated at all. The song Kopem will serve as a typical example, for which there will be a live-clip editing, reminiscent of the mentioned indoor concerts. The new album is a step forward and to a wider (and Land' s) audience - the ““ narrow-profile ““ rock-rap crossover has disappeared, “only“ a very hard and very stomped big beat, which works immediately. Moreover - in the texts he embarks on things that no one in the domestic established idyll wants or can do. It' s a record for the Generation of Half-Stories (as the name of one of the songs sounds), for all those ““ sowed poor ““.

The album is released at the beginning of the Rock Cirkus tour, during which Cocotte Minute will tour Bohemia and Moravia from March to May, along with the controversial band Elektrick Mann, whose first two albums, Hrubý styl and Zhorovy streety, were re-edited as doubles for the price of one.
