Cold Case: Purgatory

The standalone third instalment in the acclaimed series that has sold over 100,000 copies and been translated into numerous languages once again combines the best elements of the popular crime series The Bridge and The Killing.

The inhabitants of Österlen are terrified by an arsonist. In all the burnt-out houses, the police find a number painted, and an interview with the sole survivor triggers memories for Detective Inspector Tess Hjalmarsson of a case she failed to solve at the beginning of her career. Together with her colleague Marie Erling and profiler Carsten Morris, Tess gets on the trail of a killer obsessed with revenge. Soon, Tess herself is in danger, now living with her new love in a house in Österlen. Her past has caught up with her, and it seems the perpetrator has her on his list.

The Cold Case series is inspired by real police cases.
